Franklin D. Roosevelt was our 32nd president, who came up with the New Deal to pull us out of the Depression of the late 1930's
Some of Franklin D. Roosevelt's ideas in the New Deal worked, and some of them didn't, one that I think was the most successful was the Home Owner's Loan Corporation (HOLC) because it provided help for people to pay there mortage payments (if they were behind). Later, when they were caught up, Roosevelt restructured the people with longer terms of payment, and lower interest rates. However, only 10% of people recieved these loans.
